To better aquaint international
audiences with its technologies, Sociedade do Sol (SoSol), has,
since June of 2005, presented 4 similar mini-sites in Portuguese, French, Spanish
and English. Their principal purpose is to present SoSol and
its work and to direct the reader to the Manuals for the Assembly of
Low-Cost Solar Heating Systems, meant to be used by low-income
families in tropical and sub-tropical lands.

Sociedade do Sol, is a NGO (Non-Governmental
Organization) located in the City of São Paulo, Brazil. It
conceives and develops low-cost ecological technologies,
principally for residential use.
Its leading project to date is the Low-Cost Solar Heater - ASBC
- launched publically a few years ago. The ASBC is meant to be assembled by the homeowner himself,
using inexpensive and easily obtained materials; it Is in use in
thousands of Brazilian homes. |
